Mezcal Masterclass: Durango
Oaxaca is the jumping-off point for most people when it comes to mezcal. More mezcal is produced in Oaxaca than anywhere else in Mexico, and it represents the vast majority of what we're able to see here in the United States. Increasingly, mezcal from other regions is making its way stateside, providing a window into the diversity of traditions surrounding the category. This class we'll focus specifically on the state of Durango, exploring some of exciting spirits emanating from this world-class region, and talking about the shape of things to come.
Join Quiote and Todos Santos's beverage director and agave expert Jay Schroeder monthly agave spirits class and tasting.
The class will be held in Todos Santos, Quiote's subterranean mezcaleria, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will include four pours of different mezcal during the hour chosen specifically to highlight different aspects of the spirit and its production methods.
The intimate class will be limited to 25 people.
